Week beginning 5th December
The class showed how grown up they have become as last Friday we buddied them up with Red HM Class to walk up to the Tunstall Church Christmas Tree Festival. Some new friendships were forged and there are some new photos in the gallery of our visit.
We continue to use the Horrid Henry series of books by Francesca Simon in our English learning this week. After learning about prefixes and introducing prepositions last week, its more on prepositions, with adverbs thrown in too, this week, in an attempt to increase the children’s descriptive arsenal, while in maths, we will be practising all our skills with some word problems.
Our DT learning reaches the sandwich making stage, so if you are available on Thursday at 2:30, we would appreciate your feedback. Don’t forget your apron and any extra ingredients you may need.
Tuesday is a non-uniform day, where children are asked to bring in a donation for the Bazaar the following day. Friday is Slippers for Shelter Day, for which we ask for a donation for this charity that has just reached its 50th anniversary. Please make sure that you do still have your outside shoes for playtimes though.
Finally, congratulations to Nathan, who received our behaviour award last week.
