What's Going On Behind The Stable Door?

A really BIG well done to Lucy, our Star of the Week. Lucy has been struggling with a cold this week and hasn't felt 100% but she continued to work hard and stay focused through the sneezing.

This week we will all be finding out what character we will play in our Nativity - What's going on behind the stable door? We spent some time as a class putting our names forward for characters we'd like to be. Everyone voted for more than one character they'd like to be so that Miss Rogers could cast everyone as someone they wanted, even if it wasn't their first choice. We also voted for who did not want a speaking part, who would like a few lines and who would like lots of lines to learn. Yellows will be bringing their lines home this week. If possible, please spend some time with your child to help them learn their lines (I'm sure you've heard the songs already!).

So what else is happening this week? In maths we'll be taking a look at multiplication and using arrays. During our English lessons we will be using the Waitrose advert, that sees one of Miss Rogers' favourite birds make a tough journey, to help us with verbs and writing expanded noun phrases in our own work. Our computing lessons will involve designing our first PowerPoint and our art lesson will help us explore another artist who used colours beautifully.
