Christmas is coming, Nativities are being rehearsed (and performed!) and the glitter is out!

Firstly, a very big 'thank you' to everyone who attended the recent Phonics afternoons. We really enjoyed showing you the type of activities we do to help us with our Phonics learning in Red Class. We hope you found it helpful too.

So all of the hard work and rehearsing leads to Red Classes Nativity performances over the next two weeks! Both classes have been working really hard to make their Nativity plays the best they can be and are excited to show you all the end result!

In between Nativity rehearsals, dress rehearsals and performances we are squeezing in some 'Stick Man' based activities. We will be reading the story, writing our own captions to retell the story and even carrying out some 'Stick Man' based measuring.

In Phonics we will continue to consolidate our learning of all of the Phase 2 sounds. We will also practise the Tricky Words we have learnt since starting Red Class and learn the last of these until after Christmas: 'no'.

We will also be making our own Christmas decorations- there will be plenty of cutting, sticking and glitter spreading!

Don't forget it's Slipper Day on Friday 9th December and Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16th December!

We are really looking forward to performing our Nativities to you all over the next couple of weeks!

Keep singing!
