3 days to do and then let the festivities really begin!
Thank you all for coming to watch the children at their Choral Christmas performance on Friday, didn't they do well? Mrs Julier and Mrs Tollervey really did a great job of getting the children to learn all the songs and actions. If you were not feeling festive by the end of the performance, then may be you will by Wednesday afternoon for our church service. It kicks off at 1.30pm - be lovely to see you all again in the church.
Monday and Tuesday will still be lessons but perhaps with a Christmas twist to them! Wednesday morning will be finishing off any history and science work to end our topic of Rocks in Science and The Stone Age in history. We have almost finished 3d Derek the Giraffe in Maths which was made out of 3d shape packaging that you all kindly sent it. See the photo of our new class giraffe!
I have uploaded some photographs of Green Class literally flying in PE! We had Ethan from Sittingbourne Gymnastics club in to help us fly! I have also posted the pictures from our afternoon with Tiger Troop.
We will start January with Volcanoes in Geography and Light in Science. RE will continue with the Christian values and we start the fantastic Krindlekrax novel in English. If any of you have had any problems ordering the book, please let me know and I will ask around in our current year 4 and see if anyone could lend us one of the books they purchased last year.
Congratulations to Chloe and Max who were our joint pupil of the week mainly down to their fantastic performance in Shoot the Sheriff times table competition! Our merit award in assembly went to Sam who again, has been really trying with his times tables and has more of a 'I can do attitude' instead of thinking he can't! And our table winners were the Super Snowmen!
Thank you to all the parent helpers who have read with us for the last 2 terms, we have really appreciated your help and may I take this opportunity to wish all my pupils, parents and wider families a very, very merry Christmas and a wonderful 2017.
Mrs Black :)
