Although we rather liked our 3-day-week, reality had to return sometime, so 5 full days it is!
We will continue this week with our mile-a-day/10 minute challenge - which most children are really enjoying. As it was raining on Friday afternoon, we completed an indoor version which included stairs and involved walking (as we are not allowed to run around the school!). We completed the 12 laps in 12 minutes - not bad! Please make sure that trainers are in school every day for this activity.
Our formal letter writing will also carry on this week - having looked at a good example and discussed the features, the children will plan their own letters and the actual writing will commence.
In maths we will finish our learning about percentages as this was a little rushed at the end of term 2 and gaps in understanding were identified in the assessments.
Our DT topic, designing a felt phone case, got off to a good start with the planning and design completed and this week we will move on to step 2, creating a template using the measurements the children have (hopefully) taken as a homework task.
