Week beginning 6th March
Thank you to everyone who supported the World Book Day, the book fair and the singing competition last week. Thank you also to the staff that made these extra and fun events possible.
The children have produced some really creative fairy tales in our English, and I hope you will have time to read them at the parent evenings on Wednesday and Thursday. Our English learning moves onto something completely different this week, where our focus is on historical narrative. The book I have chosen to use is Street Child by Berlie Doherty, and the themes explored link nicely to our history learning on family life, where we move on to The Victorian Era. Maths moves from multiplication onto division this week, while in science we will be making circuits and identifying if they are complete or not.
We must have a really healthy bunch of children at the moment, as we won the attendance award for February, so look out for a text advising you when our day for non-school uniform is.
Finally, congratulations to Jack who won our behaviour award last week.
