We hope you all had a lovely bank holiday and feel refreshed, ready to take on the rest of the term!
This week we will be revisiting place value in Maths and moving on our learning to find out more about tens and ones (It is not tens and units anymore! Please make sure you use the term 'ones' when discussing with your children). We will be finding out how we can use manipulatives to help us work out the numbers of tens and ones and also practising our counting in 10s.
In English we are continuing with instruction writing. This week we are learning how to make cucumber sandwiches and then writing instructions for them. We will be using lots of imperative verbs (bossy verbs), time-connectives (first, next) and making sure each step is numbered.
We will also be continuing with our topics in Geography (St Lucia/rainforests), Art (sculpture), RE (Judaism), Music and ICT as well as perfecting our May Day dances.
Have a lovely week!
