Week beginning 26th June
Despite all the changes to our routines last week, it whizzed past and makes this week seem quite ordinary and uneventful.
Even so, there is lots to be getting on with. We need to complete our final and best copy of our story based on The Butterfly Lion, before moving onto the works of Edward Leer, which is plainly nonsense. Our main focus of the week will be limericks, looking at some examples and their structure before attempting to write our own. There is more revision in maths, focussing on division, word problems and maybe even a venture to the bus stop method.
We take a stroll down to Yellow class on Monday afternoon, to help them with their instructional writing and our art learning continues by looking at St Basil’s Cathedral, and giving it a bit of a themed make over.
Please make sure your child comes to school in appropriate clothing for the weather. Despite the high temperatures of last week, and a text message home, there were still several children without hats.
Finally, congratulations to Katie, who received our behaviour award last week.
