Week beginning Monday 18th September 2017
A note has come home today regarding the new spellings and groupings that will start next week. Any problems, please catch me at the end of the day.
English moves on to Seasons of Splendour, which is full of folklore tales and traditional tales. Hopefully all children will know a traditional tale that they can use to help them during our English lesson. If not, perhaps you could tell them about Little Red Riding Hood or Three Little Pigs!
Maths uses the place value we have recapped this week to help us with adding 10s and near 10s.
The children enjoyed Science on Monday where we were experimenting with push and pull forces....I might of mentioned that if they 'accidentally' knocked into their younger siblings then they were practising their push and pull force! Apologies ;)
The children should now all know the 7 continents of the world - ask them!
If anyone has any empty, clean glass jars (jam, sauce, gravy etc) please could you send them in on Monday. Thank you.
Congratulations to Sophie H who won our merit award in Friday's assembly. Sadie who was our class pupil of the week and to Eden and Maxwell who were our handwriting heroes! Green table were our table winners - well done girls!
