Week commencing 6th June
It was really great to see so many of you at our May Day celebrations, the children did themselves proud. There are some photos in the gallery of some of the behind the scenes action, and also photos of the children completing their DT project, for which I must thank all the mums, dads and grandmas for their help. There would not have been so many completed money containers without you.
As previously advised, we start our learning based on Mr Stink by David Walliams in our English learning this week. We will be focussing on the main character, imagining his ‘back story’, why he is in the position he is, and also thinking about another of the characters, Raj, and writing his character profile. In maths, it’s the children’s chance to impress as we carry out some assessment activities all week. This will advise of any gaps in learning that need to be plugged this term.
You may remember a homework activity a few weeks back where the children were asked to design a cake for The Queen’s 90th birthday.
I am pleased to announce that this was Leo's entry, which was chosen to represent our school. He has been invited to attend the finals at County Hall, Maidstone, this coming Wednesday and we’ll make sure that our fingers are kept crossed for him all day.
Also, congratulations to Jonathan, who received our behaviour award for the last week of last term.
