Which month is your birthday in?
Firstly, well done to all Yellows who are freezing on the first blow of the whistle at break time and lining up so perfectly when the second whistle blows. All our practise is really paying off and Mrs Hutchings will be very pleased with you all.
We have an exciting week ahead of us. In Maths we are looking at data, in particular, how we can record data and present it in graphs, such as pictograms and block graphs. In English we are retelling the story of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt,' our key focus being the use of conjunctions, which are joining words e.g. because, and, but, so, if. We have been exploring the story of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' through story-size and role-play.
In PE we are practising our dribbling and passing skills in hockey, which are coming along really nicely. Maybe you will be in the Olympics one day...
During the week, we will also be rehearsing for our Harvest Festival and we will have Key Stage rehearsals with Orange and Red classes. Our singing practice went well last week and we were impressed with your enthusiasm.
We also open our doors on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for Open Day. We are looking forward to the children sharing some learning experiences with you.
Just a reminder, this week's homework is on Mathletics, so please log on and complete the activities when you can. All logins were given to you at the beginning of term in Contact Books. We look forward to celebrating the children's successes.
