Week beginning Monday 16th October 2017
We've made it to the final week of the first term of Juniors. Well done Team Green, I am very proud of all you have achieved this term.
It was great to see so many parents pop in last Tuesday and Thursday. Apologies to those that arrived on Thursday to the chaos that was a Green Class art lesson but thank you for getting stuck in and helping your child assemble their headdress. We have some clothes designers of the future! Please take a look at our photos in the gallery of some of the headdresses. I will upload some more next week.
For the final week we will have a maths assessment to end their place value, adding and subtracting topic and a spelling which will be the same one they did at the end of Yellow class to see if the children are in the right spelling group and accessing the correct level of support.
We will be researching some facts about Sport to compile our non-chronological reports.
RE will end our Judaism topic with the children writing their new ten commandments backwards and making a mini Torah!
Geography is even more research as we try and find a little bit more out about the 7 continents that we have learnt about.
And of course, we will be practising our Harvest Festival. Please send in the children's alternative colour top if they are a fruit or vegetable!
Winners this week...Sam won our Merit Award in assembly for trying incredibly hard in his maths this week and being much more sensible in the classroom. Bodi was our pupil of the week for also having tried really hard with his behaviour in and out of the classroom and our table winners were the girls on Red! Well done also to Lowri and Harriet, who both gained their handwriting pens.
