After the disruption of secondary school visits and open afternoons last week, this week will seem more normal.
We have made it to the last week of term one - I for one think it passed very quickly but I'm sure that the children will appreciate having next week off after a relatively stressful '11+' term.
Most children have made a really good start to their The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas playscripts though one or two will be playing catch-up this week due to time out looking around prospective secondary schools. Hopefully these will be completed this week and there will be time to act them out.
In maths, long division is still on the menu - mainly because of lessons missed last week, though also because the formal written method is new to most children. However,t there should also be time to investigate indices and BIDMAS later in the week.
Thanks you to those parents who came in on one of the open afternoons - it was lovely to see you all. Hopefully you can also join us at 9:30am on Friday for our Harvest Service (in the main hall as the church is undergoing repair work).
Have a great October break!
