Week beginning 11th December
There is nothing normal about the coming week, so here is a brief survival guide to what’s ahead.
Monday sees some children and staff attending the Sportshall Athletic event in the morning, while in the afternoon, The Family Trust is guiding the class on a Journey through the Nativity.
Tuesday is Panto day, oh yes it is. We leave school at 11:00 and hope to return at 17:00. Everyone will need a packed lunch and further details are available elsewhere on this site.
Wednesday we are watching the dress rehearsal of Red B’s nativity in the morning, with the afternoon spent practising for our own Choral Christmas performance.
Thursday and Friday sees us having more Choral Christmas practice, not forgetting that Friday is also Christmas Jumper day.
In any remaining time, there are reading, maths and spelling assessments to be completed, to give the children a chance to show off all they have learnt.
Last week saw the first real bout of illness in the class. We wish a speedy recovery to those still suffering and a big well done to everyone for soldiering on.
Thank you to those who could support your child’s learning by sampling their sandwiches last week. There were a few themes for improvement, which hopefully the children will remember in the future.
Finally, Honey received the behaviour award last week.
