Time has flown by, Term 4 is nearly complete and Easter is almost here! We’re hoping that the weather will show great improvement too, as we begin our last week before the Easter Holidays.
At school we are all busy learning lines and songs ready for our class presentations for the school Easter services on the last day of term, Thursday, 29th March.
The morning service will be at 9.30 am for Red M, Orange S, Yellow R, Blue & Violet classes.
The afternoon service will be at 1.30 pm for Red B, Orange A, Yellow S, Green & Indigo classes.
Last Thursday our Key Stage One and Early Years classes had a fun ‘Awesome Authors’ day and the children all looked fantastic in their colourful book character outfits. They particularly enjoyed the class swap session when they had the opportunity to complete literacy work, including painting bears and making dream catchers with a teacher from a different class. In the afternoon the children enjoyed a joint get-together in the school hall to look at all the different book characters that were present.
Our wonderful, large school hall was put to good use after school on Thursday. We hosted the Tunstall Choir competition and the hall was filled with people from a range of primary and secondary schools supporting their choirs. We are pleased to tell you that Hartlip came first, Tunstall second and Mintern were third. Well done to everyone! You all did brilliantly!
Interviews for our new Head Teacher also started last week. Pupils from our school council as well as some school staff have enjoyed being involved in the interview process and at this time, the first part has been completed. There is still more to do before any decisions are made by the professionals on the interview panel.
We would like to wish you all a very happy and restful Easter.
