We've had a good start.
First of all I'd like to congratulate Jack for being our first Star of the Week! Jack has set a wonderful example of behaviour and has been so polite. As a result he has settled in beautifully. Well done Jack! In addition, well done to Sienna, Alana and Ethan for their fabulous behaviour and effort this week, They each received one of Miss Rogers' certificates and get a few privileges to say well done and thank you. Congratulations to Fergus also for his merit award for starting the year with enthusiasm and confidence.
Coming up this week we will be starting our English topic of 'Tales of the Countryside' with the wonderful story 'The Pig in the Pond!' We will be focusing on simple sentence punctuation, the basis of fantastic written work.
In maths we will also starting by building strong foundations of place value with some games and independent activities.
Contrary to the letter I sent home last term, Mrs Jenkins will be taking our Yellows on Wednesday mornings while I'm off planning and preparing our fun filled lessons. She will be teaching RE and Geography. Have fun with Mrs Jenkins!
We will also be making a start with our hockey skills and gymnastic abilities in PE this week. Busy busy busy!
