Week beginning 3rd October
We go out of our usual routine this week as we have two special events to look forward to.
On Wednesday, funded by the PTA, we have a skipping workshop. We will experience a variety of skipping skills which we hope the children will be able to use at playtimes and at home.
The following day, we are off to Reculver to experience the Roman remains and go on a Roman story walk. We will also be on the beach to investigate the sea defences and the exposed cliffs in readiness for our geography topic next term. We hope that there may also be time to search for fossils.
Less exciting, but nevertheless extremely important, back in the classroom we continue studying Roman myths in English, this week looking at the story of Romulus and Remus, while in maths we have a short interlude away from addition and subtraction, where we will look at mental strategies for multiplication and division.
Who knows what the weather may bring, but please check the forecast on Wednesday evening and ensure your child is dressed appropriately for our trip, that they have a change of shoes and a packed lunch.
I have added the link to the maths game as requested. You can find it on the main Blue Class welcome page.
Finally, congratulations go to Theo W who received our behaviour award last week.
