10-2 and 4+4 what is the same and what is different? We will find out this week!
As we near the end of term it is fantastic how much progress everyone has made in such a short space of time. Well done and a big thank you to all the continued support from home with homework, mathletics and reading.
This week we are continuing with addition and subtraction with more of a focus on subtraction, number bonds and missing number questions. When looking at numbers with your children at home why not see how far they have come by asking them what they know about the number. They should be able to tell you if it is odd/even, if you can use it when counting in 2s, 5s or 10s and they might even be able to tell you some number bonds or number sentences they can use to make that number.
In English and History we are continuing with the Great Fire of London. This week we will be uncovering some more facts, finding out the timeline of the fire and using books and pictures to find out information. We will be using all these facts to create our own information leaflet about the Great Fire.
Orange A have their last session with Ethan our gym instructor this week. We are going to learn how to do backwards rolls! Meanwhile we will be continuing to learn all about weaving in Art, the creation story in RE and materials and their properties in Science.
Looking forwards to the penultimate week of term!
