Week beginning Monday 17th July 2017
Well Green Class, it is here. The last week of Year 3. The first year in juniors has been tricky for many; expected independence, higher level of academic work, no play afternoons (plan and do) and lots of extra work but you have all done it! Some have thrived in juniors and some have definitely found it a challenge. Blue Class will build upon everything that you have done in Green Class so the foundations set in year 3 should be good to build upon!
The final week, as always, is quite chaotic! Monday appears normal with English, Maths and our final Geography lesson.
Tuesday is move up morning so you will go straight to Blue after registration and return to Green for the afternoon.
Wednesday is sports day with the morning being all the field events and the afternoon is the track events. Let's hope it is sunny as there sure isn't another day that it can be rescheduled to!
Thursday, at the moment, is another normal day and finally Friday is the usual fun and frolics of the last day of the school year with the culmination being in the hall for the leavers' assembly.
We will have new staff with us for the move up morning and we will be saying goodbye to certain staff members too. It is going to be an emotional week!
Please ensure that your child comes TO school in their PE kit on Wednesday and again they will come home in it and it can stay at home for a well earned wash over the holidays. The children will need trainers as plimsolls are never a success on the running track! Your child will also need a water bottle, sun hat and suncream applied if the weather looks like it will be kind to us.
We wish you a fantastic summer holidays and an enjoyable rest.
Mrs Black and Mrs Tollervey.
