We are fortunate to have a student teacher joining us for the next few weeks for the final teaching placement of her degree. Hopefully we will show her that upper Keystage 2 (and year 6 in particular) is a great place to teach.
We will continue our research this week on the history of Lego, looking at the chronology first and then we will focus on how an information text is laid out and how we decide to group the information we have researched, before considering how we can ensure cohesion both within and across sections/paragraphs. Sounds tricky doesn't it?
In maths we will wrap up coordinates quickly before moving on to decimals. Timestable Rockstars is being introduced across keystage 2 this week, so, as year 6 are the only class to have experienced it before, I expect to see a lot of year 6 names on the leaderboard. Can anyone knock Harry off the top spot? Or indeed Mrs C off second place? Time will tell.
Please can you remember to bring in cardboard packaging of varying sizes to be used in science next week - you will find out what you will be doing with it in Mrs Walker's lesson on Monday!
