Week beginning Monday 23rd April 2018
First, thank you for the kind and generous donations for our 'There but not there' campaign. We raised over £600 as a school and £55 as a class, we are so nearly there on our fundraising total so if you have any ideas how we can raise another £176, please let me know! The children looked fantastic in red, photo will be uplodaded on Monday.
Back to work...
We are still working on poetry in English incorporating grammar strands of conjunctions, clauses and prepositions.
Maths continues with equivalent fractions and adding and subtracting fractions.
We have break from the norm where we finish off last term's History topic of Crime and Punishment where will be welcoming in the local bobby and his forensic team! They will be working with Green and Blue classes so it should be a fantastic, interesting afternoon!
We have a cricket coach in for outdoor PE and indoor PE will be our May Day dance practise.
RE considers who is special to us which will allow us to think about how Muslims thought that Muhammed was so special to them.
DT finishes off our photograph frames, all children are now a dab hand with a saw!
Please ensure your Detling trip forms are sent back to school as soon as possible, it is not long until our trip!
Congratulations to Sadie and Lily who were our Class Pupil of The Week. Always stars in the classroom and around the school - well done girls!
Mariella won the merit award in assembly for coming back to school with a really positive attitude and our table winners are the newly formed Iguana table!
If the warm weather continues, please ensure your child has a water bottle in addition to their packed lunch drink; a hat for outdoors and sun cream that they can apply themselves if necessary.
