Orange Class really enjoyed their practical maths lessons on capacity last week. They had lots of fun with the water!!
At the beginning of this week we will be continuing the fun using standard measures (litres and millilitres) to measure how much containers hold. After that we will be moving on to developing our understanding of halves and quarters of shapes and amounts.
In our literacy lessons we will be planning and writing our own fantasy stories involving a castle. We will be practising using interesting and descriptive language as well as thinking carefully about using full stops and capital letters. The children will also be continuing their work on prefixes and suffixes.
This will be Mr Hart's last week with us. It has been a pleasure to have Mr Hart teaching in Orange Class - the children have really enjoyed his fun lessons and I know that they will miss him.
Thank you very much for all of your hard work Mr Hart! Good luck with your new job - the children in your new class will be very lucky to have you!
We are all looking forward to a great week.
