A band on ship, or just another May Day?
Week beginning 21st May
Thank you all for supporting your children during our open afternoons last week. As those that attended, you will probably agree that we have some fantastic poets and scientists in our midst.
Our May Day celebrations dominate the first part of the week. There will be flowers to be made and some polishing up of our dance moves before everything kicks off at 1:30 on Wednesday. Please come to school in uniform, but bring with you a change of clothes and remember your posies for the girls and May sticks for the boys. We do have Coach Colin that morning with our final session, so please bear that in mind as any pristine hair creations may be totally decimated by the afternoon. These may be better saved for our class photos, which are being taken on Thursday.
Elsewhere, there are some usual end of term assessments to be completed, and in maths our topic turns to the interpretation of charts, graphs and data.
Some of the class will be competing in a hockey festival on Monday, while others are attending a recorder festival on Tuesday, so to both sets of children, play well and enjoy the experience.
Finally, congratulations go to Eva who received our behaviour award last week.
