We've got a busy week ahead of us!
In English, we will be exploring information texts and we will be learning lots of facts about castles. We will also be looking at leaflets and we will discuss their features in preparation for creating our very own leaflets.
In maths, we will be re-capping methods for dividing and we will be challenging ourselves by working out one-step and multi-step problems.
In Science, we will be observing our caterpillars to identify and disucss which part of their lifecycle they are at. We can't wait to transfer them into our hanging net so we can watch them transfor into butterflies!
On Wednesday, we are very excited because a librarian from Sittingbourne library will be coming in to promote the Summer Reading Challenge. The Summer Reading Challenge is aimed at children aged four to eleven. It is run in almost all libraries in the UK and it is completely free. In order to take part, children need to go to their local library with an adiult during the summer holidays – the sooner you go the longer your child will have to read six books. Staff will register your child for the Challenge and give them some fun materials to get them started. Most libraries in England and Wales will start the Challenge on Saturday 14 July 2018. You can find out more information by clicking the following link: https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
In PE, we will be practicing races and field events for Sports Day. Yellow R are continuinig to take part in Smartie Pilates sessions, which they are thoroughly enjoying.
We can't wait for the week to start!
