Week beginning 16th July
Even though we are close to the end of term, we are still carrying on with our learning, so the children do still need their PE kit for Tuesday and, if the weather continues to be warm and sunny, a hat and drinks bottle. Many children are coming to school without some, or indeed, any of these! A positive attitude from some of the children towards their learning will also be appreciated, as everything we squeeze in this week will be ground that Mr Ingram won’t need to cover next term.
We will be completing our wanderer story in English this week and hopefully find time to watch the TV version of Mr Stink, to compare and contrast it with the original book. In maths, there is a little more symmetry before finishing off the term with co-ordinates. In science we will be completing our classification key and looking at how we can have a positive effect on the local environment, which ties nicely in with our RE learning on creation, where we will look at ‘the fall’ in the creation story.
Please be reminded that Tuesday morning will be spent with Mr Ingram, Mrs Orr and Mrs Chase in Indigo Class, Wednesday afternoon is our picnic and Thursday afternoon is the spoken English competition. Max, Honey and Lucy will be representing the class, and their families have been invited. The last day of term will be filled with assemblies and goodbyes, with school ending at 3pm.
Congratulations to Grace who received our behaviour award.
