Week commencing Monday 17th September
Spelling groups start this week at 9.15am each day (9.00am on a Monday). Green B & T group with Blue and we have six different spelling groups to really ensure children are working to their spelling ability. Spellings will come home each Friday (Monday for the first week). Children will then be taught each day with various activities to secure the spelling rule they are given. They will then be given a spelling test each Friday when new spellings will then be issued. Please support you child in learning the spelling rule as opposed to just the words as we will test them on additional words following the same rule.
Both Green classes have a tennis workshop on Tuesday so we are hoping for good weather!
We continue with place value in maths for one final week before moving on to addition and subtraction.
English is the last week for the book - I'll take you to Mrs Cole! - the children will be coming up with their own version of Mrs Coles house using rich vocabulary and hopefully lots of imagination!
We continue with our World Learning in geography, Magnets in Science and aboriginal patterns in Art.
Please ensure trainers are in school every day as we are continuing to do the Daily Mile which has been a success so far.
Congratulations to Amber and Evie who were the Green class merit award winners in Assembly and Green B had Amelia as their pupil of the week, Red table were the table winners again and 2 pen licenses were awarded to Chloe and Oliver R. Well done to all award winners.
Homework has been sent home to be back in for Friday please.
