A very big 'WELL DONE!' to all Red Class children (and their grown ups!) for a fantastic first week in Red Class! We have enjoyed starting to get to know you all.
This week we will be reading a story called 'The Kissing Hand'. The story is all about Chester the raccoon on his first day at school. He is feeling a little worried about going to school for the first time but his grown up finds a way to help him. We will use this to discuss our own feelings about our first few days at school and why we may have felt like that.
We will also have lots of other fun activities based around out story of the week, including; number matching, mask making, paper plate decorating and counting. It will certainly be another busy week!
We will continue to add and practise new parts of our daily routine in Red Class as the week progresses.
We will start to give out reading books for the children this week. They will be given 2 books on one day this week and that day will become their 'book changing day'.
Thank you also for the 'Parent Pride' caterpillars we have received so far. We really enjoy reading them and proudly displaying them on our classroom doors!
