Last week the children of Orange Class worked extremely hard. They were exploring different ways to make numbers up to ten using cubes and counters. We are becoming more confident writing our own addition sentences. Well done everyone!
In English, we have been reading Mrs Armitage on Wheels written by Quentin Blake. We have enjoyed acting the story and getting to the characters whilst learning about nouns and verbs.
This week in Maths, we will be moving on to subtraction. This will include taking away different amounts and identifying how much is left. In English we will be continuing with the Mrs Armitage stories and looking further at her character as well as exploring nouns and verbs. This week we will be starting to learn our Harvest Festival songs in preparation for our celebrations.
Looking ahead to Christmas, we have been asked about the times and plans for the Key Stage 1 Nativity performances on 7th December. Both Orange and both Yellow Classes will be performing together.
We hope these details will help you plan your diary. You will of course receive notification via Parentmail nearer the time.
We are looking forward to a great week.
