We are looking forward to a fun-filled week!
Our KS1 Harvest Celebration will be in the school hall on Friday (19th October), at 9.30 am.
In maths lessons the children will continue to develop understanding of subtraction using counting apparatus and number lines.
We are completing our work on the Mrs Armitage stories this week. This will involve developing our understanding of the characters, story sequences and settings. The books we will be working on are Mrs Armitage and The Big Wave and Mrs Armitage, Queen of the Road. The children will be working hard on their letter formation and using their phonic knowledge to segment and spell unknown words, as always.
Reading books on the Bug Club website is always a good way of helping your child to develop in reading. There are plenty of books allocated and many of these are phonics based. You can find log-on details in your contact books - if you find difficulty with logging on, please talk to Mrs Scargill, Mrs Jenkins or Mrs Buchanan.
We have been enjoying practising our songs for Harvest and are looking forward to Friday's celebration.
