Week beginning 12th November
No, not for that reason, but for our DT learning this week, where we will be spreading (hummus or cream cheese), slicing (tomatoes, cucumber and celery) and arranging these onto crackers, oat and rice cakes. An apron would be useful for this session on Wednesday, where the first aid kit will be on hand, although the focus will be firmly on safety, hygiene and healthy eating – all in one afternoon. How do we do it?
Our maths this week is still focussing on multiplication and division, starting with some more multiplication and division by 10 and 100, to ensure that we are all 100% certain how to move the digits, before multiplying by 0 and 1 and division by 1. Still to come will be some practice on multiplication and division by 6, 9 and 7, so keep practising on TTRockstars. This week should see us complete our fables learning, where we will be planning, writing and editing our own fable, drawing on our learning from the past two weeks.
You should have all received, via the contact book, your invitation to our collective worship on Wednesday 14th November at 10:30 am. Thank you to those of you who have already confirmed your attendance, the VIP seats have already been reserved for you. If you or close family do intend coming, please let us know in order that we can have sufficient seating available for you.
For the second month running, we have won the Key Stage 2 attendance award. Thank you all for your help with this achievement, although I have not yet been informed when our reward of a non-school uniform day will be, but will let you know as soon as I do.
If I am keeping up with communications home, I believe that ‘coloured’ donations for our Christmas Bazaar may be brought into the school small hall on Thursday 15th November. As an advance thank you, children have a non-school uniform day on Monday 12th November. Details of all upcoming events can be found elsewhere on this website.
