We will be doing a little bit more work on recognising rhyming words and then we'll be moving onto information texts this week.
Our work on rhyme has been going very well - the children have worked hard and enjoyed the fun element too. We will be starting the week with some rhyming poetry - and have a go at making our own rhyming phrases and sentences. Later on in the week we will be starting work on information texts. This will link with our history topic about houses and homes in the past and the items people used to use in their kitchens and bathrooms.
In our maths lessons we will be practising reading number sentences and selecting the correct operation - addition or subtraction - to make our calculations. Later in the week we will be looking at 2D and 3D shapes in our geometry lessons.
We are all really looking forward to our school trip on Friday and, of course, hoping for good weather. Whatever the weather though, I am sure we will have lots of fun.
It is going to be a super week!
