The bonfires are not long out and there are rumblings of Christmas spreading through the school...
Choral Christmas practice has commenced and the PTA elves have been in wrapping gifts for the gifts' room and the bazaar -all very exciting.
We are in the process of preparing our Christmas corridor display. Every class has picked a hymn or Christmas song to base their display on and for us, it's Walking in a Winter Wonderland. Watch this space for a picture once it is completed.
At the start of the week (Monday/Tuesday) we will complete our Lego Story recounts and more fraction work (moving on to division) - then, in time for consultation evenings, there will be some formal assessments to complete to check the learning that has been embedded, and also to identify any gaps that require a little extra input. The initial homework 'SATs papers' have already identified some gaps and in future lessons, we will revisit these.
The weather is set to turn colder this week, so please make sure that the children have outdoor PE kit in school - each week we have one or two children without kit and who, if they are unable to 'borrow' kit, are unable to participate in the lesson.
