Week beginning 3rd December
It was great to share your child’s progress with you during our meetings last week. Please remember that if, at any time, you have any concerns or questions, please put a note into the contact book or come and find me at the end of the day.
This week promises to be the last ‘normal’ week before our Christmas events really kick in. In English, we will continue with our learning on familiar settings by looking at prepositional phrases and adverbs, before planning our own story, based in a familiar setting. In maths, we are still running through our times tables, with this week focussing on 11’s and 12’s.
In RE, we will start to link together the ideas we have been considering during this term’s learning, namely baptism, prayer and Trinity and in geography, we are considering different types of beaches.
I have given over Wednesday to DT. Each child will need to make their sandwich, in readiness of your visit at 2:30, and there will be two other ‘makes’ for the children to complete. I know that many children are looking forward to your reactions to their efforts, and there will be an evaluation sheet for the children to fill in after listening to your comments.
Elsewhere, next week is the last week for netball and football clubs and Wednesday sees the PTA’s Christmas bazaar from 5pm.
Congratulations to Heidi who received our behaviour award last week and Jess G who will be our class representative at Golden Club on Thursday.
