Well the Christmas season is well and truly underway! With the presents bought in the gift room on Thursday hopefully securely stashed away, this week it's the turn of the Christmas Bazaar (Wednesday evening) and the KS1 nativities (Friday). KS2 have plenty more time to practise as both Choral Christmas and the church carol service are in the final week, though our trip to the panto is only a week away (on Tuesday).
In our writing this week we will complete our dual narratives, based on the 1914 Christmas Truce on No-Man's land. So far we have focused on noun phrases and speech punctuation and this week our success criteria will include using adverbials of time, advanced punctuation and more descriptive verbs.
In maths we will be working on position and direction (co-ordinates in all 4 quadrants, reflection and translation).
Well done to Katie who was last week's writer of the week, to Theo who was our mathematician of the week and to Ryan who received our merit award. We can't forget Cooper either as he is our Golden Club winner this term - enjoy the celebration event Cooper!
