We have had a great few weeks practising for our Nativity along with Orange Classes and we hope you enjoyed seeing it on Friday. Thank you for all of your support with the costumes.
This week we will be writing our own Christmas stories about Mog the clumsy cat! We will be making sure that our stories have a problem and a solution. Later on in the week we will be making Christmas biscuits and writing instructions on how we did this.
In Maths we will be looking at adding equal groups and then how this links to multiplication. We will be introducing the 'x' sign, explaining that this means 'lots of' or 'groups of'.
In Spelling we will be focusing on spelling words in the past tense. In the spelling quiz next week we will be saying a root word e.g. 'hop' and the children will need to make it past tense. We will be teaching the children rules in order to do this, please see the spelling sheet for these.
On Thursday we will be going to the church for our RE lesson and looking for how Christians represent Christmas in this environment. We will also be looking for signs of Christmas on the way.
We look forward to a fun and Christmassy week!
