Learning with Paddington and Katie!

Hello and welcome back to a fun filled term in Red Class. Our topic for Term 3 is Lovely London.

All of our learning will be lead by Paddington Bear and Katie.

Paddington's first tube (Maths) stop is 'counting and ordering numbers', while Katie's first (English) stop on the River Thames is 'captions for photographs'.

Our Early Years environment zones will promote listening and responding to ideas expressed by others in conversation or discussion through;

making our own crown jewels in the creative zone,

bridges over rivers in the construction zone,

advertising posters in the writing zone,

map making in the role play zones,

Numicon cities in the maths zone

and fine (motor) necklaces and bracelets in our shelf zone.

Your child will now have a new group name and book change day. Please continue to put your child's contact book and reading books in their class box on their change day.

If you are a message for us, please write it in your child's contact book in case you can't catch us at the gate.

Your new Parent Pride pack was sent home on Friday 4th. Please continue to share your WOW! moments with us. We love to read and share them with you.

Don't forget to encourage your child's enjoyment, confidence and progress with reading through our online Bug Club resource. The site (www.activelearnprimary.co.uk‚Äč) offers a wide range of engaging books with tasks to promote comprehension skills. Your child's username and password can be found in your child's Contact Book
