Week beginning 14th January
During our science learning this week, we will be looking for evidence that air fills every space on Earth through a series of practical investigations. Knowing the class, there will undoubtedly be one or two unplanned escapes of gas, which we will definitely turn to our advantage, as it will help to show that a gas will fill the space it is in and why opening a window helps.
English continues with persuasive texts, looking again at tenses before investigating their features and extending our understanding by trying to decide whether they are for or against a particular subject and how this is done. Maths is again multiplication and division, building up to compact methods of calculation for both.
Once again, can I remind you that our PE lesson on a Wednesday is outside. Please make sure your child is sufficiently wrapped up in order that they do not have a negative experience of physical activity.
Congratulations to Adam, who received our behaviour award last week.
