The Growing Hope Accessibility Award recognises schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to inclusion, accessibility and supporting children with a wide range of needs.
The award promotes practical, whole-school approaches that enable all children, including those with SEND, to engage fully in learning, develop independence and flourish alongside their peers.
The award reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported and empowered to succeed. Through adaptive teaching, therapeutic approaches, communication-friendly classrooms and a strong culture of belonging, we strive to remove barriers to learning and participation.
The assessment team recognised Tunstall's inclusive ethos, commenting:
"Tunstall Church of England Primary School has a whole-school culture of inclusion, integration and positivity. They use whole-school and classroom-based tools to ensure that everyone has what they need to engage in the learning environment, whilst recognising their important role within the wider class and school community."
We were delighted with the feedback and have already begun implementing the recommendations from the report as part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
