Phase 2 covers Years 2 and 3, supporting children through the transition from KS1 to KS2.

Pupils begin moving to the upstairs classrooms and are encouraged to develop greater independence as they progress through the school, whilst remaining within a nurturing environment led by supportive adults.
Lessons are designed to be fun and interactive, helping to sustain a lifelong love of learning. Reading provision also develops, with children moving from the Little Wandle structured reading programme to a more free-reader style choice of short novels, building fluency, confidence and enthusiasm for reading.
