How can it be week 6 already? The term is flying by and we are looking forward to another week full of learning.

???? Geography
This week, we will be continuing our geography learning by exploring coastal towns and their human features. We will be looking at features such as lighthouses, harbours and promenades, and comparing these with the features we discovered during our recent local field trip walk.

We will also be studying aerial photographs of Sheerness, one of our local coastal towns, and using what we have learned to identify and label its key human features.

✍️ English
In English, we will be putting our instruction-writing skills to the test by writing our own instructions for building a sandcastle. We won't be settling for simple instructions such as "Put the sand in the bucket!" Instead, we will be using adverbial phrases, additional detail, precise vocabulary and an appropriate level of formality to make our instructions clear, detailed and engaging.

???? Maths
In maths, we will be completing our place value unit before moving on to our next topic: addition and subtraction. We will continue to develop our understanding of numbers and apply our place value knowledge to different mathematical challenges.

???? Science
In science, we will be getting creative! We will be using our learning about food chains to create artwork using a mixture of different materials. This will give us an opportunity to demonstrate our scientific understanding in a creative way.

???? PE Reminder
Please remember that our PE days are:

Blue B: Wednesday (Forest School) and Friday
Blue F: Friday
